I had the good luck to meet Rokia Traoré at a photo exhibition in Paris, and she was charming, with a wonderful smile.  Her voice is bewitching.  Perfect to celebrate Mali’s national day.

Rokia Traoré is the Malian name that was given to my friend and colleague Dr Patricia Cummins when she visited Ségou in Mali, as Chair of the Richmond Sister City Commission. Ségou and Richmond are Sister Cities.
